Prof. Nupur Prakash is serving the NorthCap University Gurugram as Vice Chancellor since July 2021, after completing her term as founder Vice Chancellor of Delhi’s first women’s technical University called Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (Govt. of Delhi). A strong proponent of STEM education among girls, she has spent several years holding key leadership positions as an academic leader, researcher, and institution builder. She has served as a Scientist at CSIO Chandigarh (a CSIR lab), Dean Engg & Technology, Dean School of IT at GGS Indraprastha University, and Principal, Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Govt. of Delhi.
Prof. Nupur Prakash possesses a work experience of around 37 years in teaching, research and administration. She graduated from IIT Roorkee (erstwhile University of Roorkee) with a degree in B.E. (Electronics & Communication Engineering) and M.E. (Computer Science & Technology) from IIT Roorkee. She was awarded with the Chancellor’s Medal for being the best student of the outgoing batch. She holds a PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence from Punjab University, Chandigarh.
Prof. Nupur Prakash has received several awards for outstanding contribution to higher education in the last two decades. Recently she received the “Indira Parikh Award 2022” for being among the top 50 women Education Leader of the Country. She was also conferred with the title of ‘Elite Academician 2022’ by IEEE Industry Applications Society, USA.
She has been an International Consultant for Asian Development Bank funded project at Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 2010 and has travelled extensively to 15 different countries for paper presentation, for chairing technical sessions and delivering invited talks. As an ICTP fellow she received the UNESCO fellowship and attended G8 summit in Italy . She also participated in the U.S. government-sponsored international exchange program for ‘Women in Leadership’ at University of Nebraska, USA in 2016.
She has guided 15 PhD scholars in Mobile Computing, Natural Language Processing, Wireless sensor Networks and Artificial Intelligence and has published more than 100 research papers and articles in various reputed national and international journals/conferences.
She serves as an expert member of several prestigious committees constituted by DST, NAAC and Ministry of Electronics and IT, Govt. of India.

Dr. Rita Chhikara

Dr. Rita Chhikara is currently working as the Head and Professor with the Department of CSE. A target driven, dedicated professional with more than 22 years of experience in teaching, administration and research. She holds a B.E Degree from Pune University, M.Tech from Punjab Technical University and Ph.D. Degree from The NorthCap University in the area of Machine Learning and Information Security. She is EICT and IIT Roorkee Certified Data Science Professional. She has completed two DST sponsored projects worth 40 Lakhs in the area of Steganalysis and Dementia. Her dedication and commitment has contributed towards successful implementation of Specializations in emerging areas in the Department. Her current areas of research include Data Mining, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Image Processing, and Deep Learning. She has been instrumental in imparting training in latest programming language for Data Science to Government officials. She has published around 55 papers in peer-reviewed International Journals with good indexing and reputed national/international conference proceedings and published a book on Intelligent Healthcare: Applications of AI in eHealth in Springer. Her belief of sharing knowledge led her to deliver talks on emerging topics of Machine Learning in various reputed conferences, FDPs and Ted-Ed events. Her administrative responsibilities as NIRF nodal officer and NAAC coordinator has contributed in improving visibility of the University. Recipient of Teaching and Research Excellence National Award, certificate of appreciation for Judge Toyacathon 2021 organized by Ministry of Education and Star performer award at NCU, she believes that “The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled”. She has chaired various sessions in Springer, IEEE and Elsevier conferences in India, Malaysia and Singapore. She has guided around 35 B. Dr. Prachi is working as an Associate Professor and Lead of Cyber Security & Forensics specialization at the department of CSE, The NorthCap University. She is a committed professional with a wide experience of more than 14 years in teaching and research She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from MDU, Haryana followed by Masters and Ph.D. from Banasthali University, Rajasthan in 2009 and 2015 respectively.
She has played an instrumental role in successfully designing and
implementing specializations in emerging areas such as Cyber Security and Blockchain. She has been conferred various awards and recognitions such as Certified Ethical Hacker from EC-Council, copyrights and patents from Government of India. She also qualified UGC-NET/JRF in 2014. Currently, she is working on a research project sponsored by National Technical Research Organization (NTRO) worth Rs 19 Lac.
In addition to her academic excellence, she has actively mentored various student teams in Government and Industry sponsored hackathons and grabbed winner position at multiple occasions. His research topic was modelling and simulation of tumour growth under immunotherapy and chemotherapy. Prior to joining NCU, he served as faculty in an engineering college in Gurugram. He has published many papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented papers in conferences. He has successfully coordinated IEEE and Elsevier conferences held at NCU. Dr. Srishti joined The NorthCap University(NCU) on 4th July 2019 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of CSE. Prior to joining NCU, she was a Teaching Research Fellow in Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), Delhi. She has done B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from MDU, Rohtak and M.Tech in Information Systems from Delhi Technological University(DTU), Delhi. She has completed her Ph.D. from University of Delhi in the area of Natural Language Processing.
She has won numerous prizes for academic excellence like Branch Topper in B.E., for securing second position in M.Tech, Merit in Math Olympiad conducted by Delhi Association of Mathematics Teachers, Best Paper Award in Web Intelligence track of International Conference TEAMC 2018 and Topper in NPTEL MOOC Certification for the course ‘Python for Data Science’ in Dec’20. Furthermore, she has also qualified UGC-NET July 2016 and GATE 2010 with 97.4 percentile. She has a vast professional experience of 7+ years and is currently leading the team of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Specialization. Dr. Nishi Gupta joined NCU in July 2021 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of CSE. She has a total teaching experience of 10+ years in various esteemed institutions. She has earned her Ph.D from NSIT, University of Delhi in 2021 in the area of Wireless Sensor Networks. She completed her M.Tech from NIT, Kurukshetra in 2012 and was awarded the Gold Medal. She was also awarded the Gold medal in her B.Tech from U.I.E.T. in 2010., Kurukshetra University. She has organized the International Conference on Cyber Security and Digital Forensics in 2021 in collaboration with Springer as a Convener. She has been a resource person in various FDP’s, workshops, guest lectures and chaired the session at various Conferences. She is editing books from the various publishers like Springer, CRC Press, etc. She is serving as a reviewer for many reputed Journals and TPC member for various International Conferences. Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Student Chapter
Networking opportunities in ACM’s 37 Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are always expanding, reflecting the growth of computing’s discrete disciplines and technical communities. The leading representatives of their fields, ACM SIGs sponsor annual conferences, workshops, and symposia serving practitioner? and research?based constituencies. Because they provide objective arenas for novel, often competing ideas, many of these meetings have become premier global events.
ACM’s broad?based infrastructure supports more than 860 professional and student chapters worldwide. These “local neighborhoods” offer opportunities for members to gain access to critical research and establish personal networking systems.
Our faculties have formed a capable and creative team of developers, artists, PR practitioners and organizers. Our web development team is lead by Deepanshu Jain has done a great work with our website. Our group of content writers work under Chhavi Jain and show their magic with our reports and articles. Garima handles our social media with a team of socially very active people. The event organizers and the graphic designers work with Jatin to manage the resourceful and informative events we conduct regularly. We are very proud of our team for building our student chapter to what it is today.

Google Students Club
Mission: Google is a paradigm of innovation, leadership and technological revolutions. The Google Students’ Club organizes many events to provide exclusive opportunities for students to sharpen their technical and interpersonal skills. These activities and events, such as expert talks, seminars, competitions and digital marketing workshops, help in informing students about the latest trends in industries as well as provide them with a platform to interact with members of Google community which includes GDGs (Google Developers Group) and GSAs (Google Student Ambassadors).
Objective: The primary objective of Google Students’ Club is to provide the students with a platform to pitch their ideas and seek guidance for the same. The Club also enlightens students about various competitions, scholarships, and other opportunities that are provided by Google. The Club aims to find the talented students, train them and provide them with opportunities that could help them excel in their areas of interest. It has taken the legacy of conducting events that encourages students to explore beyond the contents of their course and making one’s skills more productive and functional.

Programmers Club
This club organises hackathons, workshops and other coding events for all departments that gives great exposure and unique experience. By organizing competitions, we call industry experts with we hope to promote this concept further. Also, we intend to get seniors and juniors to interact with one another to create a strong support system so that juniors have some place to look to for guidance. We also have tie-up with other organisations such as Coding Ninjas for conducting various events.

The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI]
The State / Local Centres of IEI spread across the country do organise technical activities and provide platform to the stakeholders, technocrats, policy makers and others to share their expertise to benefit the engineering fraternity. IEI, in collaboration with Springer Nature Pvt. Ltd., regularly publishes peer-reviewed international journals in five Series, covering fifteen engineering disciplines. The NorthCap University runs a Students’ chapter of IEI under the mentorship of faculty advisor- Dr. Vandana Khanna. It is a very active professional society chapter that conducts various technical events like webinars, project competitions, quizzes, workshops, certification programs etc. The chapter also organizes non-technical events like Yoga sessions, fests etc. for the holistic development of the students.

The Society of Cyber Security Education and Research
Mission: Mission of SOCER is to equip students with the tools necessary to conceptualize the cyber issue, bolster formal cybersecurity education program and conduct high-end training on cybersecurity for Government of India officials/police and common manpower and in topics such as secure coding, reverse engineering, privacy, social engineering, awareness about cybercrimes and cyber laws.
Objective: Objective of the SOCER is to develop a pool of highly trained people who can defend the Cyberspace against several security threats by building innovative tools and technologies and performing high-quality research. This society has also conducted workshop at different universities and institutions to spread awareness among students.

VISUALIVE – The Creative Society
Visualive is the creative society of The NorthCap University. It consists of a number of creative people who conduct creative events for you that challenge you, help you to nurture your inner confidence, instill curiosity and much more. We specially conduct fun and engaging activities in which the students put their full effort and passion into. In the team every individual showcases their own idea and we together as a team execute them in successful events. We as society also create creative digital art work like posters, pamphlets, banners,covers etc for other societies too for our sole belief in helping others and moving forward together. Founded by Mr. Vishal Kanwar in 2017 with only just 2 team members. With our inner confidence and vision in our minds Visualive has grown to a family of 25 talented members. We value each other’s opinions, thoughts and respect everyone be it our junior or senior.
We are very active in organizing various events within the campus and are keen in showcasing NCU’s talent through competitions outside the University. Going a little deeper, the club comprises of two different teams namely:
