Department of Applied Sciences

The Department of Applied Sciences offers a wide range of courses in the areas of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics to build a strong foundation of students as a part of engineering
education. The Department also offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in basic
Sciences. We educate a diverse group of students through a blend of rigorous and project-based
curricula and adopting unique teaching methodologies. Basic Sciences form the backbone for
knowledge development not only for scientists but also for engineers. Our focus is to produce
scientists and engineers equipped with modern scientific tools with strong understanding towards
real world and engineering problems.

Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME)

Mechanical Engineering (ME) is one of the popular and evergreen branch of engineering. It provides comprehensive knowledge of conventional and advances topics like thermodynamics, Manufacturing technology, Automobile systems, Industrial Engineering, 3-D printing, Rapid prototyping etc. The physical system that the world uses is designed and developed by the concepts of Mechanical Engineering. The system Automation and Physical Integration goes hand in hand. Hence a Mechanical engineer suits in every field whether it is designing gadgets or designing and automating the physical system. Students can develop careers in the field of software implementation, Automation or core Mechanical Engineering.

Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CE)

Civil Engineering is considered the second-oldest engineering discipline after military engineering. It is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment including public works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewerage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways. Civil engineering is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines such as Construction engineering, Earthquake engineering, Environmental engineering, Geotechnical engineering, Transportation engineering, Water resources engineering, Structural engineering etc.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)

Computer Science has become a fascinating field and focuses on the theoretical foundation of computing along with state-of-the-art development of computing solutions. It is a combination of programming, hardware administration, software administration, networking and network security. The objective is to prepare students to undertake careers involving innovation and problem solving using computational techniques and technologies, or to undertake advanced studies for research careers or to take up Entrepreneurship.

Department of Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering (EECE)

Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) is one of the largest and fastest growing fields of engineering. It provides comprehensive knowledge of conventional topics like navigation systems, radar, electric motors, communication systems, VLSI Design and more advanced topics like Internet of Things, wireless sensors etc. All electronic devices need software interface to run and come with one or the other device controlling programs designed and developed by electronics and communication engineering, hence computer science and ECE go hand-in-hand and ECE is always in demand. Students can develop careers in the field of both core electronics and communication engineering and also information technology.
