About Smart Classroom

The NorthCap University established its first fully ICT-enabled Smart Classroom in 2021, designed with state-of-the-art audio-visual tools to enrich the teaching and learning experience for both students and faculty.

With a seating capacity of 50, the classroom is equipped with comprehensive ICT infrastructure, including eight ceiling-mounted speakers that ensure clear sound distribution across the room. Additionally, two ceiling array microphones with noise-cancellation capabilities capture the speaker’s voice effectively, providing crisp audio to remote participants.

The classroom also features interactive displays and tracking cameras for both the speaker and the audience, enhancing engagement in hybrid learning environments. All systems are centrally managed through a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) unit integrated with the e-podium for seamless control.

This Smart Classroom is regularly utilized for remote training sessions, faculty development programs (FDPs), conferences, and other academic engagements.
