VLSI Lab
VLSI lab in the department of EECE at The NorthCap University is a lab with state-of-the-art infrastructure, IT resources, Software and Hardware. VLSI lab has purchased Industry standard software like Cadence, Xilinx etc. and has been renewing these software since last more than 12 years. Students of BTech/MTech ECE studying VLSI courses get exposure to these latest software and hardware and work on live industry projects.

Core Competencies in VLSI domain include Linux and Scripting, RTL Design, Synthesis and Verification, FPGA Prototyping- SoC system modeling and verification, Digital and Analog Circuit Design- Schematics and simulations, Physical/Backend Design – Semi-custom and full custom layout design, Floorplanning, Place and Route, Physical/Backend Verification- DRC, LVS.
Trainings are regularly conducted in VLSI lab on ASIC design flow and CIC design flow. More than 60 research publications with Web of Science, Scopus and Google scholar indexing have been published in the domains such as: VLSI circuit designing, Hardware software co-simulation of circuits using Simulink and implementation on FPGA boards, Physics/materials of VLSI devices, Various design techniques etc.
