Prof. Deergha Sharma is an established academician, researcher, and academic leader, currently serving as the Head of the Department of Management and Commerce. With over 19 years of experience in higher education, she has made significant contributions to teaching, research, academic administration, and curriculum development. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, and has completed an Executive Development Programme in Financial Analytics from the Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur. She is also certified by the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) to deliver courses in Security Market Operations, Risk Management, and Portfolio Management Services.

Prof. Sharma’s research interests encompass diverse areas of management, with a particular focus on banking operations, sustainable business strategies, financial technology, and financial modelling. She has published over 37 scholarly works, including research articles, case studies, and conceptual papers in reputed national and international journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and the ABDC Journal Quality List. Her academic contributions also include two books published by Routledge (Taylor & Francis Group) and IGI Global, both indexed in Scopus, along with five Indian patents, reflecting her commitment to innovation and knowledge creation.

Beyond publishing, Prof. Sharma has actively contributed to the academic community by presenting her research at prestigious national and international conferences and serving as a reviewer for several leading journals. She has successfully supervised three Ph.D. scholars and is currently guiding seven doctoral researchers at The NorthCap University.
