A workshop on ‘Role of Mathematics and Science in Civil Engineering’ was organized by the Dept of Civil & Environmental Engineering for BTech and MTech, CEE students on 7 Sept 2018. The workshop was conducted by Dr PV Dilip Kumar, Assistant Professor, Mahindra Ecole Centrale, Hyderabad, and his research scholars, Mr Ajay Sreerama and Mr Bharat.

This interactive workshop enlightened and motivated the students on connecting Civil Engineering with basics of Mathematics and Science and through practical applications they understood the role of Mathematics and Science in Civil Engineering. In the last session students were divided in groups and activity was given to them where they calculated gravitational force acting on a body. Students enjoyed the session and overall workshop was fruitful for students and faculty. The event was coordinated by Dr Archanaa Dongre, Head, Dept of CEE.
