Dr. Priyanka Banerji is an Associate Professor of Economics and Analytics at the Department of Management and Commerce, The NorthCap University. She has 14+ years of academic experience in the areas of Management, Economics, Statistics, and Business Analytics.

She completed her Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the University of Lucknow, Lucknow in 2012. She is CBSE-NET qualified in Commerce and holds M.Com (Applied Economics), PGDBA (Finance) from Symbiosis, Pune, and PGDCA.

Her areas of specialization include Economics, with teaching and research interests in Statistics, Applied Economics, Indian Economy, Development Economics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, FinTech, Digital Financial Literacy, and Analytics. She is also proficient in R, Python, Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, and Excel.

Dr. Banerji has published extensively in Scopus-, Web of Science-, and ABDC-indexed journals. Her research has appeared in reputed journals in the areas of business, economics, financial literacy, analytics, and applied research. She has also presented papers at various national and international conferences and has actively contributed to academic development through the organization of conclaves, faculty development programmes, workshops, and conferences.

In addition to her academic and research contributions, she has multiple patent publications to her credit in the areas of artificial intelligence, analytics, finance, legal technology, financial inclusion, sustainable investment systems, and fraud detection.

Currently, she serves as Academic Coordinator, Timetable Coordinator, and Examination Coordinator at The NorthCap University. She has successfully supervised 3 Ph.D. scholars who have been awarded doctoral degrees and is currently supervising 7 additional doctoral scholars.

She has been actively engaged in teaching, research, academic administration, innovation, and doctoral supervision, contributing significantly to institutional and scholarly development.
