Dr Payal Khurana is working at The NorthCap University, Gurugram, as Assistant Professor (Selection Grade). She is Ph.D. in English with specialization in Fiction from University of Jammu, Jammu. She did her M.A. in English from University of Jammu. She is a University topper and received various Scholarships of Merit during her studies. She has held academic and managerial positions. She has been appointed as an external examiner and paper-setter for many Universities. She has a rich experience of eighteen years of teaching in Colleges and Universities. She is well-versed in teaching Communication Skills, English Literature, Business Communication, and Professional Communication. She has presented papers in International and National Conferences of repute and has many publications in journals and book chapters to her credit and has received the award for best research paper. She is also guiding Ph.D. students. Her areas of interest include American Writing, Feminist Writing, and Contemporary Indian Writing in English.  She has been conducting Debates, Extempore, and Group Discussions to improve the communication skills of students. She has also done Certificate Course in Teaching of English (CTE), Basic Course in French, Certificate in HIV and Family Education, and Certificate in Guidance. She has been Rapporteur, Master of Ceremony and Anchor Person in quiz programs, seminars, conferences, debates, Orientation, Convocation and Scholarship Ceremonies, etc. She is a Life-member of The Society for the Study of Multi-Ethnic Literature of the United States, and a Member of Inter-University Centre of International Studies.
