Guest lecture on Future Mobility-Electrical Vehicles

A guest lecture on Future Mobility-Electrical Vehicles was organized by EECE Department on March 7, 2018 from 10:30pm – 11:30am in Seminar hall. Dean academics, HOD EECE, various faculty members, students of B.Tech 2nd and 3rd year and Ph.D. scholars ECE, attended the lecture and found it very informative and interesting. Speaker Dr. Prabhjot, Director, Centre of Battery Engineering and EVs and Deputy Director of Telecom Centre of Excellence, and also serves as Principle Scientist, Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, discussed the reason of moving in the direction of Electrical vehicles (EV). She talked about the EV technology, various problems and challenges associated with designing and implementation of EV’s. Battery sizing, swapping of battery, types of batteries and charging stations are the various sections of her talk which give insight of the current area of demand in power sector. Students and faculty found the lecture very informative, interesting and good area to pursue R & D work. It was coordinated by Dr. Anjali Garg.
