Vice-Chancellor & Professor Message
Prof. H B Raghavendra Vice-Chancellor & Professor
Civil Engineering is one of the oldest discipline of Engineering. Exposure to globalization and modern living style has made the work of Civil engineers not only essential but also interesting. A career in Civil Engineering can open new growth dimensions for students. We work in the heart of the busy city enabling ever tall skyscrapers and efficient underground transport networks bringing reliable infrastructure to the society. There are a wide range of diverse careers under the umbrella of Civil Engineering, with great employment opportunities and excellent career progression possibilities. As infrastructure continues to grow, the requirement for civil engineers will increase. Our degree programs are in alignment with the current needs of the Civil Engineering industry and prepare the students for everything which they need.
Our Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering has been providing quality education since 2007 and is among the youngest and most dynamic department at The NorthCap University Gurugram. Here students gain expertize in designing, construction, and maintenance of the built environment and also learn soft skills, such as effective communication, critical thinking, leadership quality, project management as well as technical skills like writing reports, research papers etc. With excellent infrastructure facilities and dedicated faculty, we ensure that the dream of becoming a professional engineer, researcher, teacher or entrepreneur comes true. After graduation, a career in civil engineering is highly rewarding. The department not only runs B.Tech. programme but also M. Tech. in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering and Construction Engineering and Management There are several research scholars registered for Ph. D. programme in the department as well who conduct socially relevant projects.
