Google & ACM Student Chapter conduct workshop on Machine Learning & AI

Google Program Manager, Mr Himanshu Batra and Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) Student Chapter, NCU, jointly organized a workshop on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year CSE students on 2 April 2018 at the University campus. About 150 interested students actively participated in the workshop. Mr Batra is the Founder of ‘AcadView’ and has vast experience in the fields of Business Partnering, Data Analysis and Databases. His body of work and areas of research were a source of inspiration for the students.

Mr Batra discussed the basic concepts, tasks, applications and model assessments of Machine Learning. He also discussed the basics of AI, problems faced, approaches, applications and platforms of AI. He showed how the future of Computer Science lies in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. This was visible from the very fast impact that both had already made on the World Market. Mr Batra encouraged the students to improve their coding skills and explore Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence as subjects of interest and as a career option. Student coordinator for the event was Jatin Singh Bhati and faculty coordinator, Dr Latika Singh.
