On 26 Jan 2019, The NorthCap University, Gurugram, celebrated the 70th Republic Day with pomp and show. The spirit and patriotic fervour of the faculty, staff, their family members and students who attended the function was abundantly evident. After unfurling the National Flag the Vice-Chancellor, Professor HB Raghavendra, took the salute as the Security Staff marched past the dais.

The Vice-Chancellor greeted all faculty members, staff and their family and students on the joyous occasion. Speaking on the occasion he said, “India, on this day became a Republic by putting its Constitution in place. Bharat is among one of the biggest Republics in the world – ‘For the people, By the people’. Remember those responsible for the Constitution and work to realize their dreams by making steady progress in the service sector, software, global warming, nuclear and space mission etc. Your contribution is required as the country’s future will always be in the hands of educational institutions. Let us resolve to help the country fight corruption, eradicate poverty and work honestly and ethically.”

A variety entertainment programme with patriotic songs and nationalist fervour was presented by the students of the University. The celebrations were followed by refreshments for all.
