The faculty at the School of Law grooms the knowledge, skills and values of all the students to make them not only a competent legal professionals but also complete human beings. Apart from a team of competent and dedicated law teachers, a host of other legal professionals like judges, eminent lawyers, in-house general counsels, activists, bureaucrats and leaders of the bar and the bench, regularly groom our students on lawyering and critical legal thinking skills. Integration of the study of Law with Management subjects not only assists in developing our law students to excel as Lawyers but also as great Managers.

ENACTUS – The NorthCap University

Our senses towards the underprivileged are curious, our heart reaches out to those in need and we aspire to make sure that our existence becomes a reason for someone’s smile today. We got your back when your days are bad, we, are Enactus. We strive for lighting up the darkest corners of our society, because we believe that nothing is impossible.

Enactus is an international non-profit organisation that brings together student, academic and business leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. Guided by academic advisors and business experts, we, the student leaders of Enactus, create and implement community empowerment projects around the globe.

Objectives of “Enactus”:

  • We empower people to transform opportunities into real, sustainable progress for themselves and their communities.
  • At Enactus, the NorthCap University, Gurgaon, we aim to partake projects that can help communities around us in the best ways possible and try to pave the road for their progress.
  • Our society is full of capable people, some intelligently use the right colours and brushes to paint their canvas, while there are millions of others who have the colours, but are unable to find their canvas. Providing them with this canvas is what defines our nature of work.

The Optical Society (OSA), Student Chapter

The Optical Society (OSA) is an international organization having student chapters in more than 300 Universities around the world. It was established in our university under the guidance of Dr. Hukum Singh mainly to introduce the students at undergraduate and graduate level to the world of Optics and Photonics. The activities under our Student chapter have always encouraged students to venture in the field of Research article writings and publishing in journals. Also, our members intend to publicize educational tasks for the spreading of knowledge in Optics by means of basic experiments, demonstrations and lectures by leading researchers and teachers. Most of the needed resources to accomplish these activities are provided by the OSA, such as educational posters and a portable kit for demonstrating Optics to students.

Objectives of “OSA”:

  • To promote the generation, application, and archiving of knowledge in optics and photonics.
  • Rendition of career guidance and financial assistance to students of the said sciences.
  • Exposure to Research International Conferences.

SPIE, the International Society for Optics and Photonics

SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, was founded in 1955 to advance lightbased technologies.

Serving more than 264,000 constituents from approximately 166 countries, the not-for-profit society advances emerging technologies through interdisciplinary information exchange, continuing education, publications, patent precedent, and career and professional growth.

SPIE annually organizes and sponsors approximately 25 major technical forums, exhibitions, and education programs in North America, Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific.

In 2017, SPIE provided $4 million in support of education and outreach programs.

SPIE publishes the SPIE Digital Library, containing more than 463,000 research papers from the Proceedings of SPIE and the Society’s 10 scholarly journals with around 18,000 new papers added each year, and more than 320 eBooks from the SPIE Press catalog. The SPIE Press publishes print monographs, tutorial texts, Field Guides, and reference books. SPIE also publishes a wide variety of open access content.

Objectives of “SPIE”:

American Society for Quality (ASQ), Student Chapter

ASQ is a global community of people passionate about quality. They share the ideas and tools that make the businesses, organizations and communities work better. They offer technologies, concepts, training, solutions and an active network of quality practitioners, leaders and innovators second to none. ASQ champions the cause of quality through a variety of fields and standards. This includes the most widely known standards, such as ISO 9001. ISO 26000 and ISO 14001 as well as other standards and technical reports that apply quality management principles, tools and technology.

The NorthCap University is the first university in India to be selected by ASQ to form a Student Chapter to usher in a world-class process in every part of academic and professional life in the University. The ASQ NCU Chapter is a vibrant and enthusiastic platform brimming with activities.

The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE)

The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), was founded in 1981 at New Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC&R professionals. ISHRAE today has more than 12,000 HVAC&R professionals as members and additionally there are 7,500 Student-members. ISHRAE operates from 41 Chapters and sub Chapters spread all over India, with HQ in Delhi. It is led by a team of elected officers, who are members of the Society, working on a voluntary basis, and collectively called the Board of Governors. ISHRAE student chapters in more than 150 engineering colleges encourage students to opt for careers in the HVAC&R industry. Knowledge dissemination is done through seminars, quiz contests, plant and site visits. Initiatives of ISHRAE are focused on university students’ contests, in making them aware of subjects like, energy conservation and environmental concerns through drawing competitions, poster design, quiz and planting of trees.

Objectives of “ISHRAE”:

  • Advancement of the arts and sciences of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration engineering and related services.

Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), NCU

SAEINDIA is India’s leading resource for mobility technology. As an individual member driven society of mobility practitioners the ownership of SAEINDIA wrests with its members who are Individuals from the mobility community, which includes Engineers Executives from Industry, Government Officials, Academics and Students SAEINDIA is an affiliate society of SAE International registered in India as an Indian non-profit engineering and scientific society dedicated to the advancement of mobility industry in India.

Objectives of “SAE”:

Indian Road Safety Campaign (IRSC), Student Chapter

Indian Road Safety Campaign, a voluntary organization running under the umbrella of Transport Research and Injury Prevention Program, IIT Delhi, refers to improve the road safety rules and also make the stakeholders – who are the reason for road accident deaths, aware about safety rules.

IRSC started as a project under National Service Scheme, IIT Delhi and currently have grown to be a youth lead organization with help Transport Research and Injury Prevention Program operating in various national engineering colleges like IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, BITS Pilani, DTU, SRCC etc on our board. IRSC has also been associated with schools and various NGOs like Arrive Safe, Safe Road Foundation etc. There are various methodologies like awareness, internships, workshops and competitions through which IRSC has been able to sensitize and impact 5,00,000+ people and work presently in 35+ cities and 7+ states.

IRSC helps in developing Business-Model of the projects and helps in Indian Road Safety Campaign overall development and expansion, in formation of proposals and projects.

Society in Pursuit of Advances in Civil Engineering (SPACE)

SPACE is an endeavour of students and faculty (NCU) to enhance the technical fervour amongst the students and to introduce them to the world of astonishing structures, techniques and designs.

SPACE has been a very active society since past 5 years ever since it has been inaugurated. The founders and the members of the society have worked actively for the development of the society as well as the development of the practical view over the theoretical view of the students of our esteemed university. It’s the duty as well as keen dedication of the members and the faculty to clarify their concepts as well as ignite a new practical and innovative approach amongst the highly potential masterminds of our university. It gives the initiation to the young minds to enhance their knowledge by practically implementing the concepts of their engineering curriculum as well as giving them an insight on team building, team work and project execution, the skills very much required in today’s industry.

SPACE is a kaleidoscope of engineers from different streams like Structures, Geotech, Surveying, Transportation and Environmental Engineering.

A junior or a senior, we welcome all sorts of talents. Also for the welfare of the students all our team members are available with no time boundaries to attend any kind of problem or doubt they may face.

This is an initiative to engrave in students the love for technology and to incline their minds towards the practical based knowledge.
