Digital Image Processing

This lab deals in the comprehensive study of Digital Image Processing system.The purpose of these practical is to give students a better understanding of various features of image procssing.Moast of the practicals have software approach and are designed usind MATLAB. The results of these experiments must be recorded in a report to be handed in on or before the prescribed date.Some additional value added experiments are also included in the end.

The students are provided with a comprehensive Lab Manual, which is almost self explanatory. All the experiments are well documented with clear circuit diagrams, theory and procedures involved, so that the students are able to perform the experiments with ease and proper Understanding.

4. Write a program for Contrast Enhancement of an image using Matlab

5.Write a program to perform Discrete Cosine Transform an image

6. Write a program to introduce blurring effect in an image.

7. Write a program to remove blurring effect from the image using Matlab.

8. Write a program for thresholding an image using image processing toolbox

9.Write a program for deblurring an image using the blind deconvolution algorithm

(a) create a checkerboard

(b) apply barrel transformation to checkerboard

This lab deals with the comprehensive study of Digital Image Processing system.The obective  is to give students a better understanding of various features of image procssing.Most of the practicals have software approach and are designed using MATLAB/Image tool box. Image Processing Toolbox provides a comprehensive set of reference-standard algorithms and graphical tools for image processing, analysis, visualization, and algorithm development. Experimets are desuigned to perform image enhancement, image deblurring, feature detection, noise reduction, image segmentation, spatial transformations, and image registration. Many functions in the toolbox are multithreaded to take advantage of multicore and multiprocessor computers.
