INTRODUCTION FOR CIRCUIT THEORY LAB

 

Circuit Theory lab is a well-equipped laboratory for experiment based on circuit analysis, synthesis and filters used in electrical circuits. The lab deals with the parameters calculation, transients in R-L-C circuits, Passive filters and designing in electrical circuits.  The students will also simulate all the experiments in MATLAB software and compare with the experimental results.

 

List of Experiments

·          To calculate and verify Z parameters of a two port network.

·          To calculate and verify Y parameters of a two port network.

·          To calculate and verify ABCD parameters of a two port network.

·          To calculate and verify h parameters of a two port network.

·          Steady response of a RL circuit and to plot time versus current.

·          Steady response of a RC circuit and to plot time versus current

·          To study RLC series circuit and to find to find resonance frequency and Bandwidth.

·         To study low pass filter and to plot frequency response and determine half power frequency.

·         To study high pass filter and to plot frequency response and determine half power frequency.

·         To study band pass filter and to plot frequency response and determine bandwidth.

·         To study band stop  filter and to plot frequency response and determine bandwidth.

·         Study of m-derived low pass filter and to plot frequency response.

·         To calculate and verify Z, Y, ABCD and h parameters using MATLAB/Spice.

·         To calculate and verify the transient response of RC,RL and series LC circuits using MATLAB/Spice.

·         Study low pass filter, high pass filter, band-pass filter and band-stop filter and plot frequency response using MATLAB/Spice.
