Advanced Digital Communication


This is a post graduate lab where students learn communication techniques used in Digital communication system. Lab is well equipped to support learning the basic modulation techniques to advanced techniques used in digital communication now days. The experiments are performed on different modulation kits, LAN trainers and simulation tools. Modulation kits help us learn different digital modulation and demodulation techniques like, ASK, FSK, PSK, QPSK, QAM etc. We analyze the performance of various resource sharing protocols like ALOHA, CSMA, CSMA/CD for different topologies for wireless networks. Matlab provides flexibility for designing and coding for anything and everything in communication. So, students use their programming skills to enhance the experiments performed and for their projects on Wireless and Mobile Communication also.Apart from working on the simulation tools, we do some experiments on spectrum analyzer and will also be including mobile trainer kits.
