New courses in Business Analytics in association with IBM

 

These courses will enable students to:

  1. To integrate analytics and social capabilities into business processes
  2. Allows students to understand
    1. How to collect, sort, and understand the implications of data.
    2. To understand how to leverage data to meet strategic goals.
  3. IBM Business Analytics Lab will be  set up at the university
  4. IBM to co-develop the course content based on IBM software technologies 
  5. IBM to provide tools and technologies such as IBM Cognos, IBM Connections, Content Manager, Analytics and Education services.

 

Brief outline of courses

1. Business Analytics I

Foundation Course in Business Analytics, in association with IBM, empowers students to independently explore, analyze, visualize and share data. In minutes, analysts and line-of-business managers can create and share custom applications, dashboards and visualizations to help solve individual and workgroup challenges. As part of this course participants will get in-depth understanding of Business Analytics using IBM Cognos Insight tool.

2. Business Analytics II

Descriptive Analytics helps an organization drive better decisions, achieve better results, and gain a deeper understanding of trends, opportunities, weaknesses and threats. Fundamental Course in Business Analytics, in association with IBM, will enable students to explore data, in any combination and over any time period with a broad range of analytics capabilities using IBM Cognos BI. This course will be on business perspective with IBM Cognos BI as a tool to achieve the report outputs.
