SOL, NCU organized two day workshop on cyber security and law
A two days workshop on cyber security and law was organised by the School of law in collaboration with Skillhub Infotech and Cognizance IIT Roorkee on 4th and 5th October 2017. The main objective of the workshop was to give insight about the concept of cyber security and its related issues. The resource person of the two days workshop was Mr. Devjeet Singh.
Mr. Devjeet Singh is an Indian Entrepreneur, Ethical Hacker, Speaker and Consultant. He is the founder & Managing Director of RMAR technologies Pvt. Ltd. He is young but one of the well experienced member of RMAR. He has 4+ Year Experience in Cyber Security Domain. He has trained more than 10000+ student & professionals in India. The two day workshop conducted by was an integration of technology and law to equip the students better to fight cyber crime in India. The workshop covered these broad areas viz., Introduction to Information Security,Email Account Hacking and Security, System hacking, Google Hacking Database, Cryptography, Trojans and Backdoors and IT Acts and Cyber laws.
A total of 80 students from School of Law participated in this Workshop. The workshop was quite useful for law students as it covered various aspects of cyber crime, its types and consequences, punishment in law and precautions are required to prevent cyber attacks. It proceeded to discuss various types of cyber crime.
The workshop concluded with a group discussion and finally a selection of three students namely Mayank Dhaiya BBA LLB- 3sem, Aditi Jain BBA.LLB-3 Sem and Sagar Menon BBA.LLB 9th Sem who will represent NCU at the inter college cyber security competitionorganised by IIT Roorkee. Mr. Balwinder Singh Assistant Professor, SOL was the Faculty Coordinator for this workshop.
