The University organized a special lecture on ‘International Dimension of Erasmus+ for India’ by Mr Sanjeev Roy on 25 April 2016. Mr Roy is currently engaged as Senior Higher Education Expert – European Union Diplomacy and Outreach in India and in the SAARC and DAI Europe for the European Union Delegation to India. He has a vast experience of over two decades in a wide-ranging background within the field of education and training in India and Europe with specialization and research in higher education, ICT, skill development and much more. Erasmus+ is the European Union student exchange programme for education, training, youth and sports.
The lecture was attended by students and faculty of all the three Schools of the University. Addressing the audience, Mr Roy elaborated about different opportunities of education, training and scholarships for Indian students, research scholars and academic staff in Europe. He also talked about joint Masters degree programme offered by a consortium of European and non-European higher education institutions. He welcomed the students and faculty to apply for Erasmus+ and get benefits of liberal funding available even for a four-day workshop and international exposure.
The session was very informative and the participants interacted with the speaker who responded to their queries aptly.
