Alumni Expert Interactive Session ‘Career Prospects after Engineering’

Department of Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering (EECE) organized an expert talk and interactive session on ‘Career Prospects after Engineering’ by Ms Agrata Kumar (ECE Alumnus: 2010-2014) on 25 January 2017. The lecture was attended by 3 rd year (BTech ECE) and 1 st year (MTech ECE) students. Ms Agrata, briefed about various options available after engineering, like job opportunities in private and public sector, how to prepare for these, opportunities for higher education MBA, M Tech, M.S. from India and abroad. What to look for when considering the education abroad. The talk was extended with an interactive session where students asked their queries related to GRE,TOFEL preparation, how to choose university and major while considering for MS abroad and how to prepare for their aptitude test and group discussion skills. The feedback of the lecture was very positive.The event was coordinated by Dr Sharda Vashishtha and Ms Kusum Grewal Dangi.

About the speaker:

Agrata Kumar, completed her Bachelor's of Technology (B.Tech) degree in ECE from the NorthCap University (NCU) in the year 2014. She worked with Deloitte-U.S. as a Business Technology Analyst (BTA) for an year (2014-15) after that she completed her  Master's of Science (M.S.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) with a specialisation in Signal/Image Processing from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta in 2016. As a part of her MS program, she got a chance to work in different labs, work on different projects and gain a lot of new experience. After finishing her Masters, she has joined Deloitte-U.S. in Boston as a Technology Consultant.
