Prof Ramaseshan Narasimhan

Prof Narasimhan is an alumni of IIT, Roorkee in Applied Mathematics (1980), IIT, Madras for his PhD (1985) in Computational Mechanics and Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) for a postdoctoral fellowship (1990). After serving Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering for 17 years at different levels, he moved to the service industry - as a Senior Manager, Knowledge Management Service, HCL Technologies and contributed in CMM Level 5 accreditation and establishing Corporate Knowledge Management System. He then collaborated with a senior professor from a prestigious US based business school and played a critical role in starting and successfully running Great Lakes Institute of Management, a management school at Chennai - of which he was the Founding Deputy Dean. His most recent contribution was to establish an entrepreneurship program in Woxsen School of Business in Hyderabad as its Founding Dean.
Prof Narasimhan is a passionate teacher. In addition, his interest involves strategic decision making; implementing quality processes to sharpen the academic delivery and faculty performance. His main areas of interest include academics with a niche for establishing and building centers of learning. He believes in best business practices with meaningful and measurable contribution towards quality standards. He has learnt to appreciate the importance of human resource and compassionate leadership. His academic interest includes Strategy, Entrepreneurship, IT Strategy and Business Systems Design.
His career objective is to provide strategic leadership and build teams to perform tasks with clarity, purpose and in sync with organizational goals. To provide innovative solutions for development and to build and steer organizations with value and vision.
