Dr Bharti Arora obtained her degrees, B.Sc (Hons) in Chemistry in 2003 and M.Sc Chemistry with Organic as specialization in 2005 from Hansraj College, University of Delhi. She completed her M.Phil. & Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of Delhi in 2012. As a meritorious student throughout, she was awarded “UGC Research Fellowship in Science for Meritorious Students” (2008-2011) and was also selected for Jawaharlal Nehru Scholarships for Doctoral Studies.

Areas of Interest/Specialization:
Biophysical and Biochemical aspects of Nucleic Acids, DNA Polymorphism and interaction studies, Biopolymers, Ionic liquids, Plasma & Biomolecules, Bioinformatics to determine the functionality of genomic DNA sequences.

Dr Arora has published five research articles in reputed international journals (RSC and Elsevier publications) with a total SCI impact factor of 10.69. She has also published five chapters in books by renowned international publishers (Wiley-Scrivener, Pan Stanford, Nova Science) and presented papers in several international conferences. She is well acquainted with UV-visible & Circular Dichroism (CD) Spectroscopy, Gel Electrophoresis and Bioinformatic softwares/tools. . She is also a reviewer for SCI journals including PLOS ONE & Scientific Reports- Nature. She is a life member of the Indian Biophysical Society (IBS), DNA Society of India (DSI), Society of Biological Chemists, India, & Indian Science Congress Association.

Since Jan 2012, she has taught various courses in chemistry and gained a diverse teaching experience at Hansraj College and Lady Irwin College (University of Delhi). From July 2013 onwards, she has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Science at The NorthCap University, Gurugram. She is actively involved in teaching Engineering Chemistry & Applied Chemistry and guiding B.Tech students for project work at NCU. Additionally, Dr Arora is also looking after the research administration in the university as Deputy Dean- Research, Development and Industrial Liaison in RDIL cell.
